I'm Nick, the owner and founder of Thriving Mind.
I am passionate about transforming the way we view and treat mental health. My practice focuses on helping you tap into your inner wisdom and live the abundant, joyous life you were meant to live.
I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, OCD and ADHD. My approach to mental health treatment is holistic. This means using medication as a tool, not as a stand alone cure.
I start by creating space for you and understanding that you are an individual with unique experiences, thoughts, dreams and goals. I incorporate the use of tools including supplements, adaptogens, prescription medication, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy when appropriate.
I'm here to help you reconnect with the love and joy you already possess.
I'm glad you're here.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”—Viktor Fankl
Even in the face of life's challenges, we possess the ability to reshape our perspectives and how we respond to difficult situations. As a therapist, I recognize the significance of both the highs and lows in our lives and how these experiences shape us. I also acknowledge that everyone possesses a remarkable power within themselves to find healing. I am here to help you celebrate your highs, navigate your lows, and assist in empowering you to run toward healing.
I deeply value making others feel seen. I believe there's no greater connection point than feeling seen in your entirety--to sit with you in your hurts and vulnerability; to walk with you as you explore your inner world. My pledge is to see you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms, recognizing the complexity that makes you unique. Together, we will navigate the depths of your being, honor your strengths, and address your challenges with unwavering compassion.
I am trained in and most often utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma and emotional healing. With EMDR, we can work together to process past negative life experiences and promote lasting change. I am dedicated to using this effective approach as well as other evidence-based modalities to support your healing journey.
I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Prepare/Enrich. ERP is a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy primarily used to treat anxiety disorders. ERP is widely recognized as the gold standard in treating obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), a diagnosis I am passionate about treating. Prepare/Enrich provides a structured framework (6-8 sessions) and has been labeled the number one premarital and marriage assessment for over 35 years. I aim to assist couples in strengthening their relationships by identifying strength and growth areas.
